Northland Evangelical Movement Inc (also known as Parua Bay Christian Youth Haven or HOLYGround) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of any personal information that is provided to us. All personal information is held in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act 2020 and if applicable, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation.

Collection of personal information:

There are a number of reasons that you may provide personal information to us, including to receive information, to make a donation, to participate in programmes and activities or to receive information about or become involved in initiatives undertaken by HOLYground. The personal information may include (but is not limited to) details such as your name, image, address, mobile number, email address, relevant medical information, any other relevant personal details to be able to participate safely in our camps or the amount you have donated. We may also request your preferences for receiving further information from us. Providing us with personal information is optional however if you choose not to, we may not be able to answer your enquiries, process your bookings and purchases or provide our services to you. We may collect and store the information you choose to provide. 

 

The use of personal information:

The personal information you supply may be utilised to recognise you, address your queries, manage your bookings and purchases, deliver our services, process transactions, and for various administrative and marketing activities.

 

The personal information we gather is used solely for the purposes outlined above. We retain your personal information only for the duration necessary to achieve the intended purpose of collection or as mandated by law.

 

Communication preferences:

You will receive marketing emails about HOLYground if you opt-in to receive them. In each email community, you will be given an opportunity to decline to receive any further communication from us.

We take reasonable steps to safeguard your personal information and prevent it from being lost, accessed, used, modified or disclosed in an unauthorised way. For example, your personal information is maintained in a secure environment, which can be accessed only by authorised personnel.

However, certain activities and services related to the processing of your personal information by us may be delegated to external third-party service providers. In contracting these external services, we may share your personal information with them, but only as much as needed to complete their contractual obligations or where it is reasonably expected for us to share it with a third party for a specific purpose.

 

HOLYground commits to not using or disclosing your personal information other than as outlined in this Privacy Policy unless you have given permission, or if it's necessary to prevent harm to life or health, investigate suspected illegal activities, or when such use or disclosure is legally mandated.

We commit to responding to all valid requests within a reasonable timeframe. There may a legal or regulatory reasons why access is denied or amendment refused and if this is the case, we will tell you why.
