CAROLS ON THE GRASS
Good friends, this December our Holyground Crew is partnering with Hope Whangarei to bring something special to Tikipunga.
The local church once again plans to host their Carols on the Grass event for the Tikipunga community.
Over the last several years our Holyground leaders and crew have helped support and run this event, being part of bringing music, games, festive celebration, food parcels, good ol’ BBQ saussies, and a demonstration of God’s love to Tikipunga.
Will you join us this year?
This Sunday afternoon is a chance for us to connect, serve the local community together, enjoy some worship and sausages, as well as having the opportunity to visit some families in need and offer their whare a blessing of food and encouragement.
Where: Hope Tikipunga church
152 Kiripaka Road, Tikipunga, Whangarei
When: 2pm - 7:30 pm, Sunday 20th December
For: All ages
Our Holyground crew will be meeting at 2pm to catch up, pack some food parcels, set up for carols, and enjoy the afternoon. You will be part of a team that travels to a few homes to distribute food parcels, and you will have the opportunity to participate bringing this blessing.
You’ll be free to be part of our team singing carols, cooking/serving sausages/running (and playing) festive games, together with us, AND, of course, enjoying the music and BBQ yourself.
Sign up and get the permission form in so that we can formally include you on the day with us!
If you are interested to be involved in being part of a team that is planning & preparing a certain activity, we’re looking for enthusiastic people to help us now in the planning stage, so let us know on the form.
Feel free of course to simply sign up and join us to help on the day, bringing your laughter and willing hands, but be aware, we’re looking for everything from musicians to game organisers for this event.
If you have any questions about the day, feel free to give us a call or drop us an email.
Note: BBQ dinner is included in this event for all participants, however if you have special dietary requirements we recommend you bring a packed dinner for yourself.
Please note that this event is smoke/drug/weapon/alcohol free.
